The electronic vignette can also be bought at designated sales points marked with the "eznámka" logo, at border control points operating 24/7, or at specific gas stations.

Ukraine-Slovakia Border Crossing

You can cross the border with Slovakia at two border crossing points: "Uzhgorod" (right on the outskirts of the city) and "Maly Berezny - Ublia" (in the village of Maly Berezny, Zakarpattia region).

The "Uzhgorod" crossing point is larger in size and capacity. "Maly Berezny" is perhaps the more picturesque border crossing point, located in a mountain gorge surrounded by forests and clean air. The flow of vehicles is usually smaller here, but the services may work at a slower pace. There is no definitive recommendation on which crossing point to choose; check the queues on the website of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine:

Fuel Prices in Slovakia

Kosice

A great city to stay overnight or have lunch/dinner/breakfast. The old part of the city is a pleasant place to stroll in the evening, where most cafes and restaurants are concentrated.

If you arrive in the evening and can safely reach the Low Tatras, we recommend passing through Kosice and heading closer to the ski resort. However, if you arrive in Kosice during the day and won't make it to the ski lifts, then, of course, stop and take a walk around Kosice.

Possible Travel Options

Stay right at the resort.

Accommodation near the lifts can be found in various price categories. But it will definitely be more expensive than staying near the resort, for example, along the road leading from the highway to the resort. The advantage of this accommodation is that you won't waste time getting to the resort. Wake up in the morning, have breakfast, and go skiing or snowboarding. Yes, it's better to have breakfast at the hotel with this type of accommodation.

Stay in buildings along the road to the resort.

In such buildings, apartments, and guesthouses, staying is cheaper than directly at the Jasna resort. The downside is that you will need to drive to the resort each time. Also, if you want to take a stroll somewhere in the evening, you will need to drive to the nearest town, Liptovsky Mikulas. If constant car travel suits you, then this travel and accommodation option will be quite okay.

Stay in Liptovsky Mikulas - 16 km away.

The town is located 16 km from the Jasna resort, about 20 minutes by car. The town has supermarkets, a zoo, and a large lake. If you want to have dinner, look for cafes here. Accommodation is also cheaper than directly at the resort. There will be places to stroll in the evening, and there are other entertainment options besides skiing. Also, in the town, there is the largest water park in Slovakia, "Tatralandia." The price for a day at the water park is about €20, but in January 2022, there is a promotion with a price of €16.9.

Jasna

The resort has 21 lifts. In bad weather, the upper lifts may not operate. In more detail about the lifts, there are 5 lifts with cabins, 8 chair lifts, 5 button lifts, and 3 children's lifts.

The longest slope is 5.2 km. The number of slopes of different levels is as follows:
Blue slopes - 23 - 30.5 km
Red slopes - 13 - 17.8 km
Black slopes - 5 - 7.3 km
