M50 Barrier-Free

The M50 motorway runs around Dublin and intersects with the main radial routes M1, M2, N3, N4, N7 and N11. Barrier-Free is between Junction 6 (M50/N3 Blanchardstown) and point 7 (M50/N4 Lucan).
There are no cash payment points on the M50 motorway. Unregistered users must pay the duty by 8 pm the day after the trip.

If you miss the eFlow M50 payment deadline, you will receive a First Penalty Notice (STR). The STR is an invoice from eFlow for the cost of the road toll and a fine of €3.50 for late payment. You have 14 days to pay. If you do not pay within this period, an additional fee of €46.50 will be applied.

M1 Gormanston - Monasterboice

For traveling abroad, a Green Card insurance policy is mandatory. Policies are valid for 15 days, 1 month, 2 months, etc. monthly up to 1 year.
We also recommend having a medical insurance policy insurance abroad.

Mandatory equipment

Equipment that must be in the car:
Emergency stop sign

Winter tires, studded tires, chains

Winter tires are optional.
The use of chains is allowed with summer tires only if the road is completely covered with snow or ice.
The use of studded tires is allowed with a speed limit of 112 km/h on the motorway and 96 km/h on normal roads.

A function indicating the location of fixed speed cameras in the navigation software, based on GPS should be deactivated.
