Toll Roads

Georgia requires mandatory vehicle insurance and liability insurance for foreign-registered vehicles. Since Georgia is not part of the Green Card international insurance system, purchasing local third-party liability insurance is necessary for trips.

The cost of insurance depends on the type of vehicle and the duration of the policy. The minimum term for an insurance contract is 15 days, and the maximum is 1 year. It can be arranged at the border crossing when entering Georgia or purchased online on the website: https://www.tpl.ge/en.

Parking Attendants

Volunteer Parking Attendants in Georgia
You shouldn't pay "parking attendants" in vests. They may take the money, but the place is not officially paid for.

In Georgia, people in vests with sticks may approach you – parking attendants. These are volunteers who help with parking and "manage" from 3 to 10 parking spaces.

It is customary to thank them with a sum of 1-2 lari for their services. If the "parking attendant" actually helped you, behaved politely, then why not give them this small amount. But if they behaved rudely, started demanding something and knocking on the car – you can not pay anything. Payment to "parking attendants" is purely voluntary donation.
