Toll Roads

Sign of toll roads in Slovakia

Usage of certain sections of Slovak roads by foreign vehicles requires payment. Toll roads are marked with a sign that says "s úhradou".
To pay, you need to purchase an electronic vignette.

Purchasing an Electronic Vignette

You can purchase the electronic vignette through the website: https://eznamka.sk/selfcare/purchase/ or via the "eznamka" mobile application.

The electronic vignette can also be bought at sales points marked with the "eznámka" logo, at border control points operating 24/7, or at specific gas stations.

CarCar up to 3.5 tons€12€17€60
TrailerTrailer€12€17€60

For vehicles with a trailer weighing more than 3.5 tons, an additional vignette for the trailer is required. Therefore, two vignettes need to be purchased – one for the car and another for the trailer.

Motorcycles do not need to pay tolls.

For vehicles over 3.5 tons, information about toll payment can be found on the website (in English, Russian): https://www.emyto.sk/en/etoll/etc-system

Validity Period of the Vignette

The electronic vignette is valid for a specified period, regardless of the distance traveled or the number of trips.

10-day vignette - valid for 10 consecutive calendar days, starting from the date specified by the buyer.

30-day vignette - valid for 30 consecutive calendar days, starting from the date specified by the buyer.

1-year vignette - allows passage on motorways from January 1 of the current calendar year (or from the payment date in the current calendar year) until January 31 of the following calendar year.

In Slovakia, the network of toll roads is currently not extensive, and small sections can be bypassed on toll-free roads without losing time.
