Toll Roads

In Luxembourg, travel on highways is free. There are also no toll sections, such as tunnels or bridges.

• Outside built-up areas – 90 km/h
• On motorways – 130 km/h*

Speed limit of 100 km/h on motorways during rain or snow.

Low Beam Light

Low beam light is mandatory in limited visibility conditions (less than 100 meters) due to fog, snow, rain, etc. Low beam light is required when driving through tunnels, even if they are illuminated.

Motorcyclists must use the low beam light of their headlights 24 hours a day.

P+R (Park and Ride) in Luxembourg

There are many P+R car parks in Luxembourg that require you to leave your car and transfer to public transport. There are free parking lots, as well as paid ones, with a very low parking price. Parking Payment

The city of Luxembourg, in collaboration with the company Indigo, has launched the Indigo Neo app in the city of Luxembourg.

Thanks to the new app, users can remotely pay for their street parking in the city of Luxembourg and manage it without the need to obtain a ticket from a machine to purchase vouchers. This state-of-the-art payment method is a convenient alternative to traditional payment methods (i.e., cash or credit card).

Indigo Neo is integrated directly into the city's traffic management system for parking services. Using the license plate number, municipal officials can check whether the car owner has initiated a parking session in the app.

Insurance

For traveling abroad, a Green Card insurance policy is mandatory. Policies are valid for 15 days, 1 month, 2 months, etc. monthly up to 1 year.
We also recommend having a medical insurance policy insurance abroad.
And to drive on the territory of Ukraine, you need to have a valid motor vehicle policy.

Mandatory equipment

	The use of winter tires in Luxembourg is mandatory when there is slush, snow, or ice on the road.
	The use of chains is allowed only if the road is covered with snow or ice.
	Studded tires are allowed to be used from December 1 to March 31.
