Toll Roads

Payment is required for using roads outside cities.
To pay, you need to purchase an electronic vignette. The cost of the vignette depends on the duration of use (1, 7, 30, 90 days, or 12 months) and the vehicle category (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H).

Buying Vignettes

Vignettes can be purchased at large shopping centers and Rompetrol, Petrom, and OMV gas stations.

When purchasing, provide the operator with the car's license plate number, vehicle type, and vignette duration. The operator enters the data into the electronic database and issues a receipt or invoice. The data in the database is stored throughout the vignette's validity period.

The most convenient way to buy a vignette is through the ROVINIETE website (in English, Russian): https://www.roviniete.ro/ Payment can be made with a credit card.
